Excursion Day 2 in the New Colombo Plan 2023: Enriching Cultural Experiences in Jatiluwih
Denpasar – July 11, 2023, After the success of the first day of excursions, Universitas Pendidikan Nasional and Edith Cowan University students that participating in the New Colombo Plan 2023 program continued their adventure to the Jatiluwih area, Tabanan, on the second day. Their main goal is to visit the tourist spot Rice Terrace which is famous as a UNESCO cultural heritage.
Arriving in Jatiluwih, the New Colombo Plan 2023 participants were presented with an amazing view of the spectacular terraced rice fields. Rice Terrace Jatiluwih is one of Bali’s mesmerizing natural and cultural wonders, with beautiful landscapes of green rice fields and terraces. Students can appreciate the beauty of nature while learning the importance of rice farming in Balinese life.
Not only enjoying the beauty of the Rice Terrace, the participants also continued their journey to one of the nearby waterfalls around Jatiluwih. This is where they can enjoy the calming beauty of nature and refresh themselves in stunning natural panoramas.
As evening approaches, New Colombo Plan 2023 participants have the opportunity to witness cultural performances at the Art Centre. They will be enthralled by the diversity of Balinese art and culture displayed in dance, music, and other performances. This allows them to experience the richness of Balinese culture firsthand.
Not only that, their visit also included exhibitions of typical crafts from various regions in Bali. Participants will have the opportunity to see and learn about a variety of unique handicrafts, such as woodcarving, weaving, weaving, and ceramic art. This is an invaluable opportunity for them to appreciate local expertise and deepen their understanding of Balinese culture.
Excursion Day 2 in the New Colombo Plan 2023 provides an extraordinary experience for the participants.
