Welcome in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FISHUM) at Undiknas University has become one of the most sought-after faculties among the younger generation. FISHUM offers three study programs: Communication Studies, Public Administration, and English for Business and Professional Communication (Kombispro).

The Communication Studies program offers two concentrations: Public Relations and Journalism. Undiknas University provides opportunities for Communication Studies students to gain hands-on experience by engaging directly with private radio and television stations, enhancing their practical knowledge in the field.

Meanwhile, the Public Administration program offers a concentration in Public Policy, with a focus on global-oriented programs. Students can participate in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Program through internships, entrepreneurship projects, humanitarian initiatives, and research at strategic government institutions across Bali.

To support its academic activities, FISHUM is equipped with several facilities, including a Public Administration Laboratory, a Photography Laboratory, a Journalism Laboratory, and U-Radio, the university’s own broadcasting platform.

The Communication Science Study Program offers a distinctive Digitalpreneur Communication approach, an innovative concept that combines communication competencies with digital entrepreneurship skills. The Undergraduate Program in Public Administration at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) carries the scientific vision of being “Excellent in developing data-driven and digital-based public policy studies with international competitiveness.”

To achieve this vision, the missions of the Undergraduate Program in Public Administration at Undiknas are as follows:

  • To produce graduates with skills and competencies in the field of public administration, particularly in data-driven and digital-based public policy studies, who are qualified and internationally competitive.

  • To increase research output published in accredited national/international journals and produce applied works that can be utilized by stakeholders.

  • To implement innovative community service based on science and technology in support of sustainable development in the field of public administration, particularly in data-driven and digital-based public policy studies.

  • To strengthen cooperation and relations both domestically and internationally with industries, organizations, and institutions in the field of public administration, particularly in data-driven and digital-based public policy studies.

By realizing this scientific vision and mission, graduates of the Undergraduate Program in Public Administration at Undiknas are expected to become entry-level public administration researchers, entry-level policy analysts, entry-level public sector administrators/managers, and public affairs officers.

Students of the Undergraduate Program in Public Administration at Undiknas are trained in conceptual abilities through interactive classroom learning and are equipped with practical skills through workshops and practicums such as Academic Paper and Policy Brief Writing, Personality Development and Table Manner, TOEFL Preparation and Test, and Academic Writing. Students are also facilitated to undertake internships at reputable local government institutions and other well-established public sector organizations in Bali. Moreover, students have opportunities to meet with prominent public figures in Bali, as well as national and international figures, to broaden their academic horizons.
