Welcome at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

As a private higher education institution, Undiknas followed the prescribed procedures for the establishment and development of faculties, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2020 concerning the Establishment, Modification, and Dissolution of State Higher Education Institutions, and the Establishment, Modification, and Revocation of Permits for Private Higher Education Institutions. As a follow-up measure, the University Academic Senate reviewed and approved the establishment of the Undiknas Faculty of Health Sciences, as documented in the Undiknas Academic Senate Minutes Number 025/Senat/XII/2022. Subsequently, as part of institutional development, the enhancement of academic quality, and the advancement of scientific disciplines at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, the Undiknas Faculty of Health Sciences was renamed the Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, pursuant to the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Pendidikan Nasional Number 0196/II-4/UND/II/2025 regarding the renaming of the Faculty of Health Sciences to the Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

The Vision of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Undiknas is: “To excel in the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi) by producing health professionals who are capable of independently advancing knowledge based on research findings and technology, with a focus on physical and mental health, while upholding the values of Pancasila and Tri Hita Karana.”

This vision is then translated through the Mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, which is:

  1. Carrying out quality education and learning processes by prioritizing health studies while utilizing technology based on Tri Hita Karana.
  2. Conducting research that contributes to the development of health and entrepreneurship studies by using technology based on Tri Hita Karana.
  3. Carrying out community service based on health studies while utilizing technology based on Tri Hita Karana.
  4. Collaborating with external parties in the field of health and entrepreneurship in a way that benefits everyone.
  5. Being able to develop business models, products, or services by creating various innovations based on health studies while utilizing technology.

Based on the analysis of internal, external, and regulatory conditions in the field of Higher Education, the study programs under the Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences are the Psychology Study Program and the Physiotherapy Study Program.

The Psychology Study Program specializes in the field of Neuropsychopreneur.

The distinctive feature of the Psychology Study Program curriculum at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional is its emphasis on Neuropsychopreneur, which equips students with the ability to understand psychological issues by exploring thought processes and the workings of the mind that influence individual behavior within society. This knowledge can be transformed into opportunities for developing business models, products, or services by leveraging digital technology, while fostering an entrepreneurial mindset grounded in the values of harmony embodied in Tri Hita Karana.

Based on this approach, the Psychology Study Program at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional has the vision: “To excel in the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi) by producing psychology graduates who emphasize technology-based neuropsychological studies that can be applied to entrepreneurship, grounded in the values of Pancasila and Tri Hita Karana.”

The mission of the Psychology Study Program at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional is as follows:

  1. Provide high-quality education and learning processes by emphasizing neuropsychological studies, utilizing technology and grounded in the values of Tri Hita Karana.
  2. Conduct research that contributes to the development of neuropsychology and entrepreneurship by utilizing technology and grounded in the values of Tri Hita Karana.
  3. Implement community service programs based on neuropsychological studies by utilizing technology and grounded in the values of Tri Hita Karana.
  4. Establish partnerships with external stakeholders in the fields of neuropsychology and entrepreneurship that provide mutual benefits for all parties.
  5. Develop business models, products, or services by creating various innovations based on neuropsychological studies and utilizing technology.

The Psychology Study Program aims to produce graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (S.Psi) who are competent in their field, able to compete in the job market, and have an entrepreneurial spirit so they can create job opportunities for the community. This program also aims to produce graduates who can work as practitioners in Neuropsychology, market researchers, psychology assistant staff in Human Resources, counselors, and research assistants.

The Physiotherapy Study Program features a unique curriculum based on the Ergo-Physio Preneur concept. Ergo-Physio Preneur is the distinctive feature of the Physiotherapy Study Program at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Undiknas. It represents an integration of Ergonomics, Physiology, Physiotherapy, and Entrepreneurship (Preneurship).

The curriculum of the Undiknas Physiotherapy Study Program has adopted the national standards established by APTIFI, while being enriched with courses that integrate physiotherapy and entrepreneurship. The aim is to equip students with the ability to develop creative ideas, technological innovations, and business opportunities in the field of physiotherapy. In addition, students are provided with opportunities to participate in guest lectures featuring physiotherapy practitioners and entrepreneurs to broaden their knowledge and foster an entrepreneurial mindset.

Students are equipped with the skills to:

  1. Analyze occupational health and safety issues, including those in the industrial, MSME, and tourism sectors.
  2. Optimize individuals’ quality of life through an understanding of ergonomics, physiology, and human biomechanics.
  3. Develop technology-based business models, products, or services in the field of physiotherapy.
  4. Foster an entrepreneurial mindset grounded in the values of harmony embodied in Tri Hita Karana.

Graduates of Undiknas Physiotherapy are not only ready to work in the health sector, but also ready to create job opportunities through physiotherapy-based innovations and solutions.

The Bachelor of Pharmacy Study Program specializes in Pharmapreneurship based on Natural Products and Health Technology, as well as Pharmaceutical Care. The curriculum is integratively designed to combine pharmaceutical sciences with the utilization of natural resources and technological innovation. This approach enables students not only to understand pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and pharmacognosy, but also to develop pharmaceutical and healthcare products with economic value. This approach develops graduates who are innovative, adaptive, and entrepreneurial within the field of pharmaceutical practice.

As preparation for pursuing the pharmacist professional education pathway, the curriculum is complemented by flagship courses such as Clinical Interprofessional Education (IPE), which trains students in collaboration among healthcare professionals; Compounding and Dispensing, which develops skills in medication compounding and pharmaceutical services; and Leadership, which strengthens professional leadership and decision-making skills. The Study Program also provides a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathway as a form of recognition of learning outcomes acquired through formal, non-formal, and informal education, providing students with the opportunity to pursue further education in a more flexible and efficient manner.

With the support of health technology and the values of Tri Hita Karana, the Pharmacy Study Program produces competent, professional, and ethical Bachelor of Pharmacy (S.Farm.) graduates. Graduates are equipped with the competencies to serve as caregivers, communicators, decision-makers, leaders, and entrepreneurs, and are prepared to pursue careers in pharmaceutical product development, distribution, regulatory affairs, the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare services, and research based on natural products and modern technology.

The Diploma Three Pharmacy Study Program (D3 Pharmacy at Undiknas) features a distinctive curriculum specializing in Community Pharmapreneurship. The curriculum is designed to produce Associate Degree in Pharmacy (A.Md.Farm.) graduates with comprehensive and outstanding competencies, who are prepared to work, pursue entrepreneurship, compete, and grow in various fields of pharmacy within the community. In alignment with the vision, mission, and objectives of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, the curriculum is also grounded in the values of Tri Hita Karana and responsive to the dynamic development of health technology.

Some of the flagship courses offered by the D3 Pharmacy Study Program at Undiknas include Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurship and Marketing, Compounding and Dispensing Practicum I and II, Self-Medication Practicum, Nutrition and Nutraceuticals, Behavioral Science and Communication, and Fieldwork Practice. The learning process is generally delivered through simulations that reflect real-world pharmaceutical practices, allowing students to gain practical and applicable learning experiences.

Graduates of the D3 Pharmacy Study Program at Undiknas are prepared for careers as pharmaceutical care providers, pharmaceutical product production personnel, pharmaceutical product distribution personnel, and entrepreneurs in the pharmaceutical field. These graduate profiles are supported by learning outcomes that integrate competencies in ethical, legal, and procedural aspects across various settings, including pharmaceutical care, pharmaceutical production, and pharmaceutical distribution facilities. In addition, graduates are equipped with the ability to develop independent business ventures in the pharmaceutical sector, including pharmaceutical products, traditional medicines, and cosmetics.

Through education in the D3 Pharmacy Study Program at Undiknas, students gain not only theoretical knowledge but also intensive practical experience to strengthen their knowledge, skills, communication abilities, and creativity as prospective Vocational Pharmacy Personnel (TVF). Thus, graduates are expected to adapt effectively to various changes and developments in society.
