The Secrets of the International Port’s Kitchen Exposed! Undiknas Civil Engineering Students Go Directly to the Field in Benoa
DENPASAR – Students of the Civil Engineering Study Program at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) have just made an educational breakthrough thru a field study activity at Benoa Port. As the #bestcampusinBali, Undiknas continues to commit to providing a learning experience that is not solely focused on textbooks. This activity is specifically designed to delve deeply into the Port course directly at its operational center. This concrete step proves that #Undiknasunggul excels in producing graduates who are job-ready and relevant to the industry. Sixth-semester students of the 2023 batch appeared very enthusiastic in following every session of explanations from expert practitioners.

Sneak Peek at Advanced Infrastructure at Bali Engineering Campus
In this visit, 22 students were accompanied by their supervising lecturer, Mr. I Gede Fery Surya Tapa S.T., M.T., to closely observe the grandeur of the pier. They learned about the port operational systems, ship traffic management, and infrastructure planning aspects that have become international standards. As the #BaliEngineeringCampus, the main focus of this visit is to align port design theory with the reality of construction on the ground. Students not only observe the physical structures but also understand the complexity of managing maritime logistics, which is extremely vital. This technical insight is expected to enhance students’ practical competencies in facing future port engineering challenges.

Warm Welcome from the Executives of Pelindo Sub Regional Bali Nusra
The arrival of the delegation from Undiknas was warmly welcomed directly by the senior management team of Pelindo Sub Regional Bali Nusra. Present were the Regional Technical Manager, Danang W., and the Equipment Manager, Yudi P., who provided very in-depth technical explanations. Not to be missed, Corcom Pelindo Sub Regional Bali Nusra, Siti Juairiah, also facilitated the interactive discussion between students and the operational team. The collaboration between the academic world and the industry is the main key to why Undiknas maintains the quality of its education. The discussion was very dynamic with various critical questions raised by these future engineers.

Implementation of Theory for a Bright Future in Civil Engineering
Thru field observations and direct dialog, students are expected to connect classroom theory with the real conditions at Benoa Harbor. Practical experiences like this are very rarely obtained without close cooperation between the campus and the relevant institutions. This reinforces Undiknas’s position as the best university in Bali, prioritizing the quality of graduates in the field of civil engineering. The ability to connect planning concepts with operational management will be a valuable asset for students upon graduation. Undiknas continues to prove itself as the most progressive engineering campus in Bali in developing young talents in the field of engineering.
