Undiknas Demonstrates Campus Impact Through Volunteering at Pura Ulun Danu Batur
A sacred and devotional atmosphere enveloped the communal service activities carried out by the academic community of the National Education University (Undiknas) on Friday, 10 April 2026 at Pura Ulun Danu Batur. This activity represents a form of yadnya as a sincere offering of devotion to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. The presence of students, lecturers, and the Rector of Undiknas reflects unity in upholding the values of dharma. This moment also serves as a means of strengthening harmony among the academic community. The activity simultaneously underlines Undiknas’s commitment to preserving and safeguarding Balinese customs and culture.

In the implementation of this service, various student activity units actively participated in the ceremony. The Seka Santi Undiknas performed sacred chants that created a quiet and spiritually meaningful atmosphere. The Undiknas Dance Club presented the Rejang Taman Sari dance as a symbol of sacred offering full of philosophy. Each movement reflects sincerity and devotion to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. This participation demonstrates that the younger generation has an important role in preserving the continuity of Balinese culture.
Not only students, but lecturers and staff at Undiknas also participated by performing the Rejang Sari Dance. This performance demonstrated that cultural preservation is a shared responsibility across all campus elements. The moment that captured the most attention was when the Rector collaborated with lecturers, staff, and students to perform the Mask Dance. This collaboration reflected harmony and togetherness in a unified ritual. The gamelan music from the Taksu Abinaya Student Activity Unit further enhanced the sacred atmosphere throughout the event.

This community service activity not only holds spiritual and cultural significance, but is also relevant to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The cultural preservation values displayed align with SDG 11 on sustainable cities and communities. Furthermore, the active involvement of students and lecturers reflects the implementation of SDG 4 on quality education based on local wisdom. Undiknas demonstrates that education focuses not only on academic aspects, but also on strengthening cultural values and character. This positions the campus as an agent of change in sustainable development.
Through this activity, Undiknas further asserts its role as a #undiknaskampusberdampak grounded in the values of Tri Hita Karana. The harmony between humans and God, fellow humans, and the environment is reflected in every act of service carried out. The togetherness formed becomes a strength in maintaining the balance of life. This activity also serves as an inspiration for other educational institutions to help preserve local culture. Thus, Undiknas not only produces outstanding graduates but also individuals with character who uphold Balinese cultural values.
