The New Colombo Plan 2025 is a four-week international immersion program organized by Undiknas as part of its strategic partnership with Edith Cowan University. The program is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience that includes language training, academic enrichment, cultural exploration, and industry visits across Bali.
The first week will focus on language and cultural classes at Undiknas to strengthen intercultural communication skills and deepen participants’ understanding of Balinese and Indonesian culture.
In the second week, students will join academic workshops and collaborative sessions with Undiknas lecturers, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and comparison between higher education systems in Indonesia and Australia.
Entering the third week, participants will take part in culture- and community-based activities through visits to various regions of Bali, including East, North, and South Bali. During this stage, students will be introduced to cultural heritage sites, traditional crafts, and local sustainability initiatives.
In the fourth week, participants will gain professional exposure through visits to several institutions and organizations, including the Australian Embassy, Kopernik Foundation, and various tourism industry stakeholders. The program will conclude with group presentations and a final reflection session at Undiknas.
Through the implementation of the New Colombo Plan 2025, Undiknas aims to further strengthen academic relations between Undiknas and Edith Cowan University, while expanding the participants’ global perspectives. The program also serves as a strategic effort to develop intercultural competencies and enrich professional networks for students in the Asia–Pacific region.
By hosting this program, Undiknas continues to demonstrate its commitment as an internationally competitive university and its active role in supporting global collaboration in education.
