Undiknas Communication Science Workshop Explores Broadcasting Techniques and the World of Media
Denpasar — The Communication Science Study Program of Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) once again held a student competency development activity through the Communication Science Workshop, conducted at Building A, Undiknas Denpasar. This activity was designed to encourage students to explore the world of broadcasting in depth—from the role of presenters and newscasters to program hosts. (7/11)
The workshop featured Sahri Aflan Ramadiansyah, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom., a lecturer in the Communication Science Study Program at Undiknas, who shared both his experience and practical insights related to communication skills within the broadcasting industry. Participants gained an understanding of the characteristics of delivering information in front of the camera, vocal and gesture techniques, script mastery, and ways to build self-confidence when broadcasting.
Students of Communication Science took part in the activity enthusiastically. Through theoretical and practical sessions, participants had the opportunity to directly try basic broadcasting techniques, including simulations of becoming a presenter and host. This activity is expected to serve as an initial step for students to become familiar with professional careers in the broadcasting sector.
The workshop reflects Undiknas’ continuous efforts to provide learning experiences that are both practical and relevant to industry needs. By equipping students with practical skills such as broadcasting, Communication Science students are expected to be increasingly well-prepared and confident in pursuing careers in media and communication.
