Radio Workshop: Undiknas Communication Students Learn Broadcasting Techniques
Denpasar – On October 3, 2024, the Communication Studies Program at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) held a Radio Workshop for Communication students. This workshop was part of a series, following an initial session in August, where students visited the Radar Bali media office to observe news broadcasting and journalism activities in newspaper article writing.
In this follow-up session, Undiknas students had the opportunity to delve into radio broadcasting techniques with Dr. Nuning Indah Pratiwi, S.Sos., M.I.Kom., a Communication lecturer at Undiknas with extensive experience in broadcasting and communication. Dr. Nuning guided students in understanding effective speaking skills on-air and introduced essential broadcasting techniques that serve as the foundation of radio broadcasting.
The main goal of this workshop was to provide practical insights to students about the world of radio broadcasting, including ways to present engaging information and build confidence when speaking publicly. Students were encouraged to practice and master intonation, rhythm, and content handling—key skills essential for becoming a professional broadcaster.
Through this workshop, students are expected to gain a deeper understanding of the role of broadcasting in the communication field and to prepare themselves for challenges in the media industry. This activity marks an important step for Undiknas Communication students in exploring different aspects of broadcasting, expanding their knowledge, and sharpening relevant skills for their future careers in communication.
