KMB Undiknas Hosts Social Activity “Buddhist Care 2024” at Baith-El Christian Orphanage
Denpasar – Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas), through the Buddhist Student Association (KMB), organized a series of social activities under the banner “Buddhist Care 2024.” The event, themed “Growing Together: Sharing Love and Spreading Kindness,” took place on Saturday, July 20, 2024, starting at 07:00 WITA at Panti Asuhan Kristen 400 Baith-El, Semarapura Kelod, Klungkung District, Klungkung Regency.
The event was attended by all members of KMB Undiknas and aimed to provide moral and material support to the children at Panti Asuhan Kristen 400 Baith-El. The activities included various interactions with the children at the orphanage, as well as the distribution of aid consisting of daily necessities, school supplies, and other items needed by the orphanage.
“Buddhist Care 2024” is a tangible manifestation of KMB Undiknas’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 1 on eradicating poverty, Goal 10 on reducing inequality, and Goal 16 on peace, justice, and strong institutions. By promoting values of compassion and care, the event aimed to strengthen social solidarity and build a sense of togetherness among participants and beneficiaries.
The hope is that through this activity, the university can not only provide material assistance but also bring joy and hope to the children at Panti Asuhan Kristen 400 Baith-El, fostering a sense of empathy and social responsibility among students, and encouraging them to continue participating in beneficial social activities.
This initiative is part of Undiknas’s commitment to educating a young generation that excels academically while also demonstrating high social concern. Through such activities, Undiknas continues to encourage active student participation in achieving the SDGs, while reinforcing the university’s role in community development and enhancing the quality of life.
