
International Seminar at Undiknas University Highlights AI Implementation in Research and Tourism
Denpasar – Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) successfully hosted a prestigious international seminar at the Dwi Tunggal Auditorium under the theme “Implementation of AI in Research and Tourism.” The event brought together academics, alumni, and students to explore the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across various fields, particularly in research and tourism. One of the keynote speakers, Dr. Arnel T. Sicat, Vice President for Academic Affairs at The University of the Assumption, Philippines, emphasized the importance of integrating AI into academic research, highlighting its potential to revolutionize data analysis and drive innovation in higher education.
Also present was Ir. Ngakan Nyoman Kutha Krisnawijaya, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Tourism at Undiknas, who underscored the pivotal role of AI in enhancing tourist experiences, destination management, and sustainable travel practices.
The seminar further featured fresh perspectives from Gusi Ayu Tantyana Wira Devi, S.Kom., a distinguished alumna of the Information Technology program at Undiknas, and Rangga Aditya Hanggadwipa, an active student of the Tourism Destination program. Both shared insights on how AI is shaping the future of the tourism industry, from academic frameworks to real-world practices.
Moderated by Ni Kadek Winda, S.S., M.Sc., the seminar was attended by students from diverse study programs, including Tourism Destination, Digital Business, Management, Information Technology, Environmental Engineering, Communication Studies, Law, and Psychology.
Beyond its academic contributions, the seminar also marked the official launch of a new collaboration between Undiknas University and The University of the Assumption. This partnership aims to strengthen academic development, joint research initiatives, and student mobility programs in the future.
