FH Teaching: “Digital Without Wounds” Against Cyberbullying in Tabanan Village
Denpasar – The Faculty of Law, Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas), once again demonstrated its commitment through the FH Mengajar (Law Faculty Teaching) program. This year, the activity carried the theme “Digital Without Wounds: Education and Action Against Cyberbullying”, held at the Tabanan Village Office (July 29, 2025).
The event, led by the Faculty of Law in collaboration with the Faculty of Law Student Executive Board (BEM FH), became a tangible form of academic contribution in building a village community that is intelligent, ethical, and upholds justice in the digital era. Its main focus was to provide understanding of individual rights protection in cyberspace while also encouraging community participation through interactive workshops, online mediation simulations, and the signing of a joint commitment to fight cyberbullying.
The theme “Digital Without Wounds” reflects the collective spirit to create a digital space that is safe, inclusive, and empathetic. In Tabanan Village, the rapid growth of technology, especially among students, also brings new challenges in the form of cyberbullying practices. Unfortunately, this is often overlooked and rarely recognized as a violation of the law. Therefore, this activity was held to strengthen legal literacy by explaining important articles, such as Article 27 paragraph (3) of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) and Article 310 of the Criminal Code (KUHP), which regulate the prohibition of spreading false information or defamation online.
Participants—including students, parents, traditional leaders, and village officials—were invited to understand that “every word on the internet is an action with consequences.” As a practical application, BEM FH Undiknas organized a mediation simulation in which participants took active roles in resolving cyberbullying cases based on scenarios adapted from real events.
This FH Mengajar program is not merely an annual agenda but a crucial strategy to reinforce legal values, social awareness, and shared responsibility in community life. Through a combination of education, law, and field action, Undiknas law students are expected to become agents of change—bringing justice not only into lecture halls but also into villages, homes, and even digital screens.
In the midst of the strong digital wave, this theme serves as a reminder: we may not be able to turn off the screen, but we can choose to open our hearts.
