SESAAT BIJAK #6: Youth Voices for a Wiser Future Free from Child Marriage
Bangli – The Student Association of the Public Administration Study Program (Himaprodi AP) at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) organized SESAAT BIJAK #6 (Sosial Edukasi Taat Kebijakan / Social Education for Policy Awareness) as part of their effort to raise social awareness among teenagers. Held at SMP Negeri 1 Tembuku, Bangli, the event served as both a moment of reflection and an open dialogue space for young people to address the issue of early marriage. (July 29, 2025)
Carrying an educational and inspirational spirit, the initiative aimed to educate students on the serious consequences of underage marriage while also opening space for peer discussions—where youth could share hopes, stories, and solutions. More than just a campaign, SESAAT BIJAK #6 served as a moral call to foster collective awareness for a brighter and more hopeful future.
The event featured an inspiring speaker, Mrs. I Dewa Ayu Ita Purnama Dewi, who explained the social and psychological impacts of child marriage, alongside a presentation from the Kisara Bali team, enriching participants’ understanding of adolescent reproductive health and the crucial role of youth as agents of change.
With an interactive and empathetic approach, students were encouraged to explore healthier, more independent, and responsible life choices. The warm dialogue between the committee and participants also reinforced the values of solidarity and the importance of education and self-development during adolescence.
SESAAT BIJAK #6 was not just a routine program, but a concrete manifestation of the university’s commitment to fulfilling its social role through education-based advocacy. The initiative is hoped to inspire a new spirit among young people—to dare to dream, to be empowered, and to shape their future wisely.
