Undiknas Welcomes Benchmarking Visit from LLDIKTI Region I Medan, Strengthening Collaboration in Tri Dharma of Higher Education
Denpasar – As part of its commitment to developing higher education, Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) welcomed a benchmarking visit from LLDIKTI Region I Medan, North Sumatra, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. The visit, held in the Undiknas Theater Room, included a group of 35 people and 15 representatives from LLDIKTI Region VIII, with discussions focused on implementing Double Degree programs and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
On this occasion, the Rector of Undiknas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nyoman Sri Subawa, S.T., S.Sos., M.M., IPM., ASEAN Eng., warmly welcomed the group, emphasizing the importance of inter-university collaboration in enhancing the quality of education and implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
During this valuable opportunity, Undiknas also received collaboration offers in the framework of carrying out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education from universities within LLDIKTI Region I that joined the visit. Undiknas accepted these offers by formalizing an MoU signing with seven universities, directly signed by the Rector of Undiknas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nyoman Sri Subawa, S.T., S.Sos., M.M., IPM., ASEAN Eng., including:
- Indonesian Palm Oil Technology Institute
- Bina Karya College of Economics
- Mikroskil University
- Nias Raya University
- Senior College of Health Sciences (STIKES) Medan
- Hasan Abdi Polytechnic
- Muhammadiyah University of South Tapanuli
The MoU signing marked the beginning of a collaboration aimed at strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in education, research, and community service. This partnership includes various initiatives, such as student and faculty exchanges, joint research, and community service programs tailored to the needs of each university.
With this collaboration, it is hoped that a broader and stronger educational network will be formed, accelerating the achievement of higher education goals such as improving academic quality, expanding access to education, and supporting the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in education. Moreover, through the implementation of Double Degree programs and RPL, students will have a greater opportunity to acquire competencies relevant to current industry needs.
Undiknas and all universities involved in signing the MoU are committed to maintaining and enhancing educational quality through the implementation of sustainable collaborative programs. This step not only supports the improvement of human resources but also strengthens the role of higher education institutions in community and national development.
