Departure of the Bali Contingent to PomNas XVIII Bapomi Bali in 2023: Preparing to Go to Banjarmasin
Bali, Friday, November 3 2023 – A historic agenda for young Balinese athletes took place at the Dwi Tunggal Auditorium Building at the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, where selected athletes from Bali were released to compete in PomNas XVIII Bapomi Bali in 2023, which was held in Banjarmasin, Kalimantan South, from 12 to 22 November 2023.
The release of this contingent was an important moment witnessed by various parties, including government representatives and sponsors. The event was attended by a number of prominent guests, including the Assistant for Government and Welfare of the Regional Secretary of Bali Province, Mr. I Dewa Gede Mahendra Putra, S.H., M.H, as well as representatives from the Head of LLDIKTI Region VIII, Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, General Chair of KONI Bali, Disdikpora Bali Province, the Deputy Chancellor, Chairman of Regency/City KONI, Pomnas Sport administrators, and all sponsors who took part in this event.
The General Chairperson of KONI Bali, the Vice Rector, as well as sponsors, including BPJS Employment Gianyar Regency, BPR Lestari, Bank BNI, Bank BPD Bali, Permata Tour, and Trent Konfeksi, also supported the enthusiasm of young Balinese athletes in this national competition.
In PomNas This is an opportunity for Balinese athletes to show their potential and talent on the national stage.
A total of 116 athletes were selected to represent Bali in various sports, accompanied by 55 officials from 15 universities in Bali. Ganesha Education University, Udayana University, Warmadewa University, and various other institutions collaborate to prepare these talented athletes.
The release event was full of meaning, starting with remarks from the Secretary General of Bapomi Bali, Mr. Dr. I Made Wirya Warma, S.H., M.H., C.C.D, Vice Rector for Student affairs and alumni who provided a report on the implementation of Pomnas XVIII.
The highlight of the event was marked by the beating of the gong carried out by the Assistant for Government and Social Welfare of the Regional Secretary of Bali Province, Mr. I Dewa Gede Mahendra Putra, S.H., M.H. This marks the start of the journey for Balinese athletes who will fight to achieve the best achievements at PomNas XVIII Bapomi Bali in 2023.
Apart from beating the gong, hats were also placed on two athlete representatives, which was then followed by the distribution of BPJS Employment cards. All of these signs are symbols of enthusiasm, support and protection for athletes during competitions.
