Collaborating with Forkom Dewi, Undiknas Tourism Faculty Targets Increasing Studies in the Bali Tourism Sector
Denpasar – On Friday, June 7, 2024, an important meeting took place at the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, marking the first step in exploring the Tri Dharma Higher Education collaboration plan between the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) and the Tourism Village Communication Forum (Forkom Dewi). This meeting was officially received by the Chair of Forkom Dewi, I Made Madra Astawa and his staff.
In the meeting, Undiknas was represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Dr. I Made Suidarma, S.E., M.M., and staff. This meeting aims to discuss potential collaboration in the fields of education, research, and community service, by the Tri Dharma of Higher Education concept.
Dean of the Undiknas Faculty of Tourism, Dr. I Made Suidarma, S.E., M.M., in his speech, expressed his high appreciation to Forkom Dewi for his willingness to accept and explore this collaboration opportunity. He emphasized the importance of synergy between higher education institutions and tourist village communities in creating programs that can improve the quality of tourism education and make a real contribution to society.
I Made Madra Astawa, as Chair of Forkom Dewi, on the same occasion, express his support for this initiative. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between institutions to improve human resource competency in the tourism sector and hoped that this collaboration could provide significant benefits for both parties.
This meeting also became a constructive discussion forum, where various ideas and concepts of cooperation were discussed in depth. Participants from both parties showed high enthusiasm in exploring various collaboration opportunities, ranging from holding seminars and workshops to tourism village development programs and research opportunities in the tourism sector.
This collaboration exploration was also followed up by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and PKS between the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional and the Tourism Village Communication Forum. This collaboration will not only strengthen relations between the two institutions but will also significantly contribute to developing tourism education in Indonesia.
With a strong spirit of partnership, the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional and the Tourism Village Communication Forum are ready to move together to realize the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, providing optimal benefits for students, society, and the nation.
