Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) Celebrates Saraswati Day with Collective Worship and Balinese Arts Performance
Denpasar – Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) once again hosted a collective worship event in commemoration of Saraswati Day on Saturday, July 13, 2024. The event was attended by the entire academic community of Undiknas, including faculty, staff, and students.
The event began with a collective worship attended by all members of the Undiknas community. In addition to the worship, the program featured performances of traditional Balinese dance and gamelan music, showcasing the beauty and richness of local culture. Preparations for the event involved a day of mutual cooperation among all members of Undiknas, reflecting the spirit of togetherness and collaboration.
The Saraswati Day celebration is part of Universitas Pendidikan Nasional’s effort to preserve culture and provide education on the importance of collaboration and cultural heritage preservation in the modern era. This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 4 on Quality Education and Goal 11 on Sustainable Cities and Communities.
Through this event, Undiknas not only celebrates Saraswati Day but also contributes to cultural preservation and character education for students. The goal is to instill values of collaboration and appreciation for local culture, and to build awareness of the importance of maintaining cultural heritage amidst globalization and changing times.
