Undiknas Holds BIPA Classes for International Students Under the TIAS 2025 Program
Denpasar — Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) has demonstrated its commitment to supporting the internationalization of higher education through the implementation of Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) classes for international students receiving The Indonesian AID Scholarship (TIAS) 2025. This scholarship program is an initiative of the Government of Indonesia administered by Indonesian AID as a form of support for human resource development in partner countries (11/11).
TIAS 2025 is attended by participants from various partner nations who are continuing their studies at several universities across Indonesia, including Undiknas. The implementation of the BIPA classes at Undiknas plays an essential role in the academic and sociocultural adaptation process of the scholarship recipients, thereby supporting a smooth learning experience throughout their study period in Indonesia.
The BIPA learning sessions are facilitated by Ida Ayu Fortuna Ningrum, S.Pd., M.Pd., serving as the BIPA instructor at Undiknas. With extensive expertise and experience in teaching Indonesian to non-native speakers, she delivers interactive and contextual learning designed to help students understand the Indonesian language while simultaneously becoming familiar with local cultural values.
The BIPA curriculum is designed not only to develop everyday communication skills but also to support academic communication needs. The learning materials include grammar, vocabulary enrichment, speaking and writing skills, as well as cultural understanding—preparing students for academic life and social interaction throughout their stay in Indonesia.
Undiknas’ participation as one of the universities implementing the TIAS program reflects the government’s trust in Undiknas’ capability to support international students and strengthen global networks in higher education. Through this initiative, Undiknas continues to reinforce its position as an inclusive and globally competitive international campus.
With the implementation of the BIPA classes, TIAS 2025 scholarship recipients are expected to adapt more quickly, gain an optimal academic experience, and return to their home countries equipped with valuable knowledge and experiences to contribute to their respective communities.
