Synergy Between Undiknas Engineer Professional Program, PII Civil Engineering Division, and PT. Hutama Karya Successfully Holds National Seminar and BIM Revit Workshop

The Engineer Professional Program (PPI) at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas), in collaboration with the Civil Engineering Division (BK-SIPIL) of the Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII) and PT. Hutama Karya, successfully organized a National Seminar and BIM Revit Workshop. Carrying the theme “Digital Transformation in the Construction Industry: Strengthening Engineer Competence Through the Implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM)”, the event aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of students and construction practitioners in Indonesia regarding BIM application in the construction sector. The event was held on October 29–30, 2024.

On the first day, October 29, 2024, a collaborative seminar took place featuring experts from Universitas Pendidikan Nasional and professionals from PT. Hutama Karya. The session thoroughly explored strategies and best practices for optimizing BIM usage to improve efficiency, quality, and sustainability in construction projects in the digital era. The speakers included Dewa Ayu Nyoman Ardi Utami, S.T., M.T., an academic from Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, and Salsabil Wahyu Widigda, S.T., a BIM Engineer from PT. Hutama Karya.

The event continued with a hands-on workshop involving active participation from students and professionals in the construction field. The two-day intensive workshop was attended by a total of 40 participants and was further facilitated by Ni Putu Pande Dhea Putri Mahalia, S.T., a BIM Engineer from PT. Hutama Karya.

This initiative served as an effective platform for knowledge and experience sharing, as well as for building networks between academics, professionals, industry players, and the government—aiming to accelerate digital transformation in Indonesia’s construction sector.
