The APO plays a crucial role in assisting member economies in formulating national strategies for enhanced productivity through various capacity-building efforts, including research and centers of excellence among members. It is nonpolitical, nonprofit, and nondiscriminatory.
The current membership of the APO includes 21 economies, comprising Bangladesh, Cambodia, the Republic of China, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam.
The collaboration between Undiknas and the Directorate General of Vocational Training and National Productivity Development is expected to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on quality education, Goal 8 on decent work and economic growth, and Goal 17 on partnerships for the goals. By facilitating knowledge exchange and skills development, this collaboration aims to strengthen the competitiveness and productivity of the national workforce in a global context.
