Blood Donation with the New Generation of Indonesia (GenBI) and PMI Denpasar City: Not only beneficial for recipients but also for you
Denpasar, 1 December 2023 – New Generation Indonesia (GenBI) Bali Province, National Education University Commissariat (Undiknas), in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Denpasar City, held a blood donation activity. This event not only has a positive impact on blood recipients but also brings great benefits to donors.
This activity will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2023, starting at 09.00 WITA in the National Education University area. This activity provides an opportunity for all elements of society, especially students and the Undiknas academic community, to contribute directly to giving their blood for humanity.
Blood donation is not only beneficial for blood recipients but also brings health benefits to donors. One of them is reducing the risk of heart and blood vessel disease. Apart from that, this activity can also help you lose weight, provide inner satisfaction, and feel more meaningful because you have shared it with others.
The requirements for becoming a blood donor include fairly simple criteria. Donors must be in good physical and mental health, at least 17 years old, weigh at least 50 kg, not suffering from infectious diseases, not pregnant, menstruating or breastfeeding, and not under the influence of drugs. In addition, for those who have donated blood, the deadline for the last donation was at least 2.5 months ago.
Through this activity, it is hoped that donors will not only participate in noble social actions but also become part of efforts to improve their own health. GenBI and PMI Denpasar City invite all residents who meet the requirements to take part in this blood donation activity because a drop of your blood can save a life.
