Universitas Pendidikan Nasional Holds Law International Seminar On Justice Law Enforcement and Dispute Settlement
Denpasar – The era of media disruption in today’s global society makes access to information very easy for the public to obtain. The power of the media now is like a double-edged sword, the ease of dissemination of significant information makes it easy for the public to express all perspectives and opinions in responding to an event. In the legal field today, public attention is focusing on the many cases that ensnare the law enforcement officers themselves. The Universitas Pendidikan Nasional as a Higher Education Institution is expected to provide an academic view regarding social issues that occur in today’s global society. To realize this, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pendidikan Nasional held an International Conference and Call for Papers with the theme “Towards Humanity Justice for Law Enforcement and Dispute Settlement”
The activity lasted for two days from 12 to 13 October 2022, at the Dwi Tunggal Auditorium at the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional in Hybrid manner. Attended by various academics from within and outside the country, including Prof. Hikmahanto Juwana, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D. as Chancellor of General Ahmad Yani University, Gautam Kumar Jha, M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University India, Sri Wiyanti Eddyono, S.H., LL.M( HR)., Ph.D. from Gadjah Mada University, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Nurjaya, S.H., M.S from Brawijaya University, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Budiana, S.H., M.Si. dari Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, Hee Jhee JIOW from Singapore Institute of Technology, Haniff Ahamat, LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D. from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. also attended the International Conference and Call for Paper activities of lecturers and deans as well as students at the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional by estimating the participants reach more than 200 participants.
The International Conference and Call for Paper were officially opened by the Rector of the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nyoman Sri Subawa, S.T., S.Sos., M.M., IPM., ASEAN.Eng. in his speech Professor Sri Subawa conveyed.
“We are preparing to engage in more international academic and non-academic activities. International issues are also our concern and discussion topics to build an international atmosphere and become a World Class University,”
Through the holding of the Conference and Call for the Paper “Towards Humanity Justice for Law Enforcement and Dispute Settlement” at the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, he hopes to generate new ideas and views in resolving social issues in law enforcement and resolving disputes that occur in society today. , which can later be stated in the form of publications in national and international accredited journals.
