The Inauguration Of Universitas Pendidikan Nasional Engineering: Rise Together To Build The Nation
Denpasar – Rector of the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nyoman Sri Subawa, S.T., S.Sos., M.M., IPM. ASEAN.Eng., inaugurated 33 graduates of the Professional Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering and Informatics Undiknas on Friday, September 16, 2022 yesterday. The inauguration activity took place at the Dwi Tunggal Auditorium at the National Education University while still implementing fairly strict health protocols. The event was attended by the Rector along with the Vice-Rectors, the Deans and Heads of Study Programs, and Heads of University-level Institutions who had the opportunity to attend. Also present at the inauguration ceremony was the Chairman of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) Bali Region, Dr. Ir. Ngakan Ketut Acwin Dwijendra, ST, SDs, MA, IPU, ASEAN Eng. (16/9/2022)
The activity was opened with the appearance of the Sekar Jagat Dance from the Bhanda Iswari Undiknas Dance UKM, followed by prayer as an expression of gratitude for the inauguration activity that night. The agenda was to continue reading the Rector’s Decree on the Designation of Engineers at the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, Batch VI Even Semester 2021/2022, followed by the process of the inauguration of engineers by the Rector. The inauguration procession is marked with proof of certificate and embedding of attributes in the form of Engineer Helmets by the Rector. The inauguration ceremony took place solemnly and meaningfully, as a sign of the beginning of the inauguration participants’ journey as engineers and officially bearing the title of engineer (Ir.) in front of their names.
In his remarks, the Rector of the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional said that engineers are currently a major milestone in nation building, in the industry today engineers play an important role in every aspect of global economic development and growth. In industrial revolution 4.0, engineers not only learn to master basic skills but also must be able to work collaboratively in the current menu of technological developments. The entry into the recovery phase after the major COVID-19 onslaught faced engineers with new challenges in accelerating development that had been delayed.
“I hope that with the birth of new engineers from the Professional Engineer Study Program at the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, they can contribute their knowledge and abilities in accelerating the movement of development and the economy into a new era of industry in Indonesia, ASEAN, and the world.” said the Rector of Universitas Pendidikan Nasional in his speech.
In line with the Rector of the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, Chairman of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) for the Bali Region, Dr. Ir. Ngakan Ketut Acwin Dwijendra, S.T, SD.s, M.A., IPU., ASEAN.Eng. also expressed his great hope for Engineer graduates to be able to contribute to the name of the nation in the world. Do not stop there, Dr. Acwin Dwijendra reminded us that this started from the beginning of an engineer’s journey, a long journey in an engineer’s career is still waiting ahead which can become a new goal for graduates of the National Education University, according to what is stated in the engineering level at the Indonesian Engineers Association.
