KEY TO SUCCESS, The Importance of Entrepreneurial Skills for Young Accountants
Denpasar – The Importance of Entrepreneurship for Young Accountants was the theme of an academic seminar organized by the Accounting Study Program of the National Education University (Undiknas) (22/04/2022). This academic seminar is targeting young accountants who do not have much work experience in their field so that they have more skills in entrepreneurship so that they can increase the competitiveness of businesses in the midst of today’s digital competition. The seminar took place in a hybrid manner at the Theater Room Smart Solution Hall and via Zoom Meeting which was attended by approximately 500 participants from the Undiknas academic community.
This academic seminar presents three (3) resource persons who have long been involved in the world of business, accounting, and entrepreneurship. They include Ni Putu Sri Harta Mimba, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., Ak, CA, CMA. Coordinator of the Research and Community Service Unit of Udayana University, Putu Surahmawangsa Ksatria Nugraha as Owner of Warung Story, and Gusi Putu Lestara Permana, S.E., Ak., M.Acc. who is one of the Lecturers in the Undiknas Accounting S1 Study Program.
The Importance of Entrepreneurial Skills for Young Accountants to the seminar participants on the Entrepreneurial Spirit, Entrepreneurial Skills for the Young Generation, and the Challenges of Accountants. Creativity and courage can be an important keys in the success of an accountant in the future, courage in taking steps and being brave in carrying out switching strategies, as well as facing difficulties, can determine how an accountant in dealing with difficult situations in making decisions. The question and answer session was quite interesting with questions given by the seminar participants. Without realizing it, more than two hours of material activities and discussions had taken place until the moderator concluded and closed the seminar. The seminar activity was then closed with a certificate as a memento to the speakers and moderators who had filled out the event and was followed by a group photo session.
This seminar is expected to be a boost for young accountants to be able to continue to develop together with their creative ideas. In the midst of competition and adaptation to the acceleration of digitalization at the time of ink, entrepreneurial skills must be possessed by all young people amidst intense competition in the job market and creative innovations are expected to open up new job opportunities that can contribute and benefit the wider community.
