Located in Antonio Gramsci Room, the Student Affairs and Alumni Unit (SALUT) Universitas Pendidikan National (Undiknas) has carried out the Secretariat Training activity on the 4th of January 2022. Fifty-six participants attended the activity from each Universitas Pendidikan Nasional Student Organizations representative. This training aims to provide an understanding of the meaning and importance of a secretariat and the correct secretarial procedures to create a neat and orderly organization. This training took place from 13.00 to 16.00 WITA by Mrs. Ni Gusti Agung Ayu Mas Tri Wulandari, S.H., M.H., an experienced material presenter in the secretarial field, also the Secretary to the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni Unit (SALUT).
During this training, the speaker discussed the relationship between administration and bureaucracy in an organization. More specifically, how to make a proposal, write a letter, make an accountability report, make a good and correct certificate, know the procedures/bureaucracies related to Student Organization activities, and understand its components. The Secretariat Training activity is essential considering that in an organization, especially Student Organization, surely there is an administrative arrangement and correspondence that is very important for continuing the organization’s operations.
“The activities in the secretarial unit are actually very complex, so a measurable work management as well as good mindset and organizational culture is necessary.” Said Mrs. Gung Wulan, the Secretary of VR SALUT, who always spread enthusiastic smiles.
The atmosphere during the training was quite conducive, and all the students who attended were very enthusiastic and paid close attention to what was conveyed by the presenters. Mrs. Ni Gusti Agung Ayu Mas Tri Wulandari, S.H, M.H. is hoping that after holding this secretarial training, the provided knowledge can be helpful in the future, both for Undiknas Student Organizations (Ormawa) and other organizations, when students who are members of Ormawa have entered the working world.
