Attending The Institutional Director of Directorate General of Dikti, Undiknas is Ready To Be an Excellent and World-Class University

Denpasar – In an effort to improve the quality of education towards superior and world-class universities, the National Education University (Undiknas) presents the Director of Institutions, the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology through a Policy Direction Socialization Event Institutional in Higher Education. The socialization activity was held at the Undiknas Dwi Tunggal Auditorium on Thursday, June 16, 2022, and was attended by all levels of management, lecturers, and education staff within Undiknas. Mr. Dr. Lukman, as Mr. Director is familiarly called, fulfilled Undiknas’ invitation to become a speaker and provide direction on strategies and policy directions that Undiknas could design to become ‘The Excellent and World-Class University in the next few years.

The enthusiasm and enthusiasm of all participants in the socialization can be seen from the questions raised during the direct discussion session with the Director. Strategic policies are always designed by the management of Undiknas along with increasing human resources and infrastructure to support the process of the Tridharma of Higher Education activities. Improving the quality of higher education is also carried out by Undiknas through improving organizational performance, work culture, and fulfilling aspects of increasing accreditation of study programs and institutions. Through this auspicious opportunity, all levels of management take advantage of the limited time to perfect the policies that have been designed. Policies in the field of lecturer publications are in the spotlight that should receive special attention from all lecturers to the Undiknas management level to continue to be creative and innovate so that in the future they can contribute to providing the highest assessment in accreditation rankings.

“From the data I collected, Undiknas already has a fairly good history of lecturer publications. Professor Sri Subawa, Rector of Undiknas also doesn’t just publish policies for publishing scientific papers for his lecturers. Through ranking on the SINTA (Science and Technology Index), he has set an example to always remember his obligations as a lecturer in producing scientific publications. Now it’s just a matter of how the rector’s policy that has been designed is able to invite all his lecturers to publish. I, in the midst of my busy life, still always find time to write one or two articles a year.” said Dr. Lukman, who is also the developer of the SINTA application and other digital information systems at the Directorate General of Higher Education.

Through this socialization activity, Prof. Shribawa, as the Rector of Undiknas is commonly known, hopes to broaden the horizons of the management, lecturers, and education staff within Undiknas to jointly realize Undiknas into a superior and international standard university. As an initial initiation, the declaration of Undiknas to become a World Class University (WCU), 2023 has been designed as the Year of Internationalization to maximize the potential of Undiknas in all aspects of internationalization that have been set by the Directorate General of Higher Education in the WCU criteria.

In line with the Undiknas Rector the Institutional Director also motivated all participants of the socialization who were present, to be able to build Undiknas together to meet the WCU criteria. According to him, the role of the entire academic community is very important in building institutions, not only the Rector and the ranks of the Vice-Rector, so it is important for all parties to be involved in achieving the vision, mission, milestones, and the declaration of the work program that has been determined.

The socialization event was closed by awarding and appreciating the Director of Institutions and photo documentation together with all levels of management, lecturers, and education staff who were present. It was an honor, Mr. Director to be able to attend directly to greet and provide direct motivation to the Undiknas Academic Community. Hopefully, this rare moment will always be a reminder for Undiknas to keep moving forward toward WCU.
