Before The Field Evaluation By Dikti, Undiknas Holds Bimtek By Presenting Experts From UT
Denpasar – The National Education University (Undiknas) holds a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) or mentoring activity, which brings speakers from the Open University (UT) Jakarta (18/04/2022). Mentoring activities are the realization of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) which was agreed upon by Undiknas and UT some time ago. More specifically, the technical guidance or mentoring activities are intended to finalize Undiknas readiness ahead of the Field Evaluation of the Implementation of the Distance Education Study Program (PJJ) by the Directorate of Higher Education Institutions. On that occasion, the Rector of Undiknas, Prof. Shribawa, was present together with the management of the PJJ Program, the teaching team, and also the technical team for the implementation of PJJ.
The resource person who had the opportunity to attend was an expert in distance learning, namely Dr. R. Benny Agus Pribadi. M.A. from the Open University of Jakarta. Also, present at the meeting, were Mr. Agus Tatang Sopandi, S.Sn., M.Pd., the leadership of UT Denpasar, and other teams from the UT Central Jakarta Business Management and Development Agency (BPPU). Although the technical guidance activities are carried out online through Zoom Meetings, it still does not reduce the essence and enthusiasm of the Undiknas PJJ team in listening to the presentation of material from the presenters.
Mr. Dr. Beny provided several inputs that he felt were important points in the successful implementation of the PJJ program at Undiknas. He also emphasized that the important points are activities in asynchronous learning through modules and learning activities presented in modules. Students of the PJJ program will learn more with the asynchronous learning method through the Learning Management System (LMS) so that innovation, creation, and the design of interactive learning activities are needed. As Undiknas’ commitment has been, to continue to learn from various parties, on this occasion, Undiknas presented resource persons from UT who are known as pioneers in implementing distance learning programs in Indonesia.
The existence of technical guidance from UT is expected to further strengthen Undiknas’ readiness in Field Evaluation of the PJJ Management Study Program for the Undergraduate Program. If there are no obstacles, it is planned that on 21 – 23 April 2022, Undiknas will be visited by a Team of Evaluators from the Directorate of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research and Technology. The Evaluator Team will be present to evaluate the readiness of facilities and infrastructure, curriculum, and lecturers who will become supporting indicators in the implementation of the PJJ Program. The evaluator team plans to attend Undiknas as the central campus and the Undiknas Distance Learning Unit (UPBJJ) located in Klungkung Regency. Through the maximum efforts that have been made and amid the limited time available in preparation, it is hoped that Undiknas can obtain satisfactory results during field evaluation activities and can immediately get a permit for the implementation of the PJJ program.
