Commisariate Gen BI Of Universitas Pendidikan Nasional Held Citizens Meet Activities To Educate Digital Payment System

Denpasar – The Indonesian New Generation Entrepreneurship Division (Gen BI) of the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional on September 17, 2022, visited the Guwang Art market, Sukawati to provide education to traders regarding the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) digital payment system. The economic impact caused by the pandemic has brought about significant changes in the tourism sector. Bali as one of the tourism destinations in Indonesia is experiencing economic degradation which requires the government’s role in restoring the economy of the people who have been affected by the pandemic.

Through the activities of Teras Wisata which stands for Gathering People Around Tourism. The Teras Wisata work program itself is a work program from the GenBI Entrepreneurship division of the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional to provide education to business actors in the Sukawati Guwang Art Market and stimulate business and tourism through easy payments using the QRIS digital payment system.

The activity, which was attended by all members and administrators of Gen BI at the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, received a positive response from the community around the Sukawati Guwang Art Market. The existence of socialization and assistance from Gen BI members in registering merchants who do not yet have a QRIS payment system helps them in implementing digital payment methods.

It is hoped that the socialization and assistance in registration and use of the QRIS payment system to traders at the Sukawati Guwang Art market can make it easier for traders and customers to make transactions to accelerate the economic cycle in reviving the regional economy and tourism after the COVID-19 pandemic.
