Directorate of Institutional Dikti Implements Field Evaluation Activities of The PJJ Undiknas Program
Klungkung – After some time ago Undiknas proposed an instrument for the implementation of the Distance Education Mode (PJJ) Management Study Program. Undiknas chose two locations in the Semarapura area, Klungkung Regency to establish the Distance Learning Center (PBJJ). At the end of April 2022, Undiknas finally had its turn to be visited by the Directorate of Higher Education Institutions in the context of Field Evaluation of the Management Study Program of the PJJ Mode Undergraduate Program (21/04/2022).
The activity was held in two different places, namely on the Central Campus, namely at the Undiknas Dwi Tunggal Auditorium, and at PBJJ Undiknas, namely at the Semarapura Village Head Office, Kangin Klungkung. Field evaluation activities can be said to take place in a hybrid manner using video conference zoom meetings. Through this method, the Dikti evaluator team simultaneously checks the readiness of Undiknas in terms of technological equipment and internet speed to support the implementation of study programs with the PJJ mode.
The activity began with remarks from the Chancellor of Undiknas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nyoman Sri Subawa, S.T., S.Sos., M.M., IPM. and also thanks from the Representative of the Directorate of Higher Education Institutions, Mr. Denny Kurniawan. Without many ceremonial activities, the field evaluation activities were colored by warm discussions between the Undiknas proposing team and the team from the Directorate of Higher Education Institutions. Discussions about readiness in the Learning Management System (LMS) became the main focus that attracted the attention of evaluators. The evaluator team said that the learning videos that Undiknas had prepared were interactive enough. Next, Undiknas needs to make improvements to the LMS features so that they become more communicative in interacting asynchronously with students. Constructive input and suggestions given by the evaluator team spurred Undiknas to continue to learn and make improvements for better results and learning.
Many inputs and discussions took place in the discussion of the technical implementation of the study program with the PJJ mode, where the existing inputs were very useful for the implementation of the study program with the PJJ which was based on the same standards and quality as the face-to-face learning model. The study program with PJJ mode is a program aimed at people who can be categorized as not very capable of taking conventional formal education where cost is the main factor in its implementation. Therefore, PJJ is presented to answer these challenges so that people can continue to receive higher education at a fairly affordable cost.
The visitation activity ended with checking every facility that would be used in the implementation of the study program with the PJJ mode, the evaluators both present at Undiknas and PBJJ Klungkung assessed the extent of the feasibility of the existing facilities and included it in the Minutes of Field Evaluation Results for further verification by the team. at the Directorate of Institutions, Directorate General of Higher Education, Kemdikbud-Ristek.
