Welcome in Faculty of Tourism

In today’s era of globalization, which emphasizes technology and digitalization, free competition occurs across various aspects, including the economy and human resources. This presents challenges in global tourism development. To meet these challenges, it is essential to prepare and manage human resources equipped with strong soft skills and hard skills to compete in the tourism sector at both national and international levels. In support of sustainable national development in the tourism sector—considering that Bali is one of the world’s top tourist destinations—Universitas Pendidikan Nasional offers the Destination Tourism (Destinasi Pariwisata) Applied Bachelor Program (Diploma IV) under the Faculty of Tourism (FPar), which awards graduates the Applied Bachelor of Tourism (S.Tr.Par) degree, equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree (Strata 1/S1).

The Destination Tourism Study Program aims to produce Applied Bachelor of Tourism (S.Tr.Par) graduates specializing in tourism destination planning, development, and tourism business with an entrepreneurial spirit. Graduates will be capable of adapting to information technology and applying research-based knowledge to create professional, high-quality, and sustainable destinations or tourism businesses. This program also aims to produce graduates who can become tourism entrepreneurs, destination or tourism business managers, research assistants, and contributors to government initiatives with a focus on sustainability through the utilization of technology and research.

The MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) Study Program aims to produce competent professionals in event management, specifically in managing meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions. In general, the objectives of the MICE Study Program include: mastering fundamental knowledge and industry practices, developing event management and operational skills, enhancing soft skill competencies, understanding ethics and professional responsibilities, and mastering technology and innovation within the MICE industry.

The Faculty of Tourism offers two study programs:

  1. Destination Tourism Study Program
  2. MICE Study Program (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions Management)

Vision, Mission, Goals Faculty of Tourism

Vision

1. To establish the Faculty of Tourism as an excellent and internationally competitive faculty, research and entrepreneurship-oriented, through the utilization of science, technology, and arts (IPTEKS), based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy.

Mission

Based on the vision of the Faculty of Tourism (FPar) at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, the mission is formulated as follows:
1. To conduct quality education and learning in the field of tourism.
2. To carry out innovative research and community service in the field of tourism, based on sustainable local wisdom through the utilization of science and technology (IPTEK).
3. To establish national and international collaborations with industries, organizations, and institutions in the field of tourism.
4. To implement quality and integrated governance and services within the Faculty of Tourism.

Goals

To realize the vision and mission of the Faculty of Tourism (FPar) at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, the following goals have been formulated:
1. To produce graduates with skills and competencies in the field of tourism who are qualified and internationally competitive.
2. To increase research outputs published in national and international journals, as well as applied works that can benefit society.
3. To conduct innovative community service activities based on science and technology (IPTEK) to support sustainable development in the tourism sector.
4. To strengthen cooperation and relationships at national and international levels with industries, organizations, and institutions in the tourism field.
5. To implement professional and well-integrated governance and services within the Faculty of Tourism.
