This health service initiative was a collaboration between lecturers of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Undergraduate Physiotherapy Program at Undiknas, and the Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan (YPK) Bali. Residents of Tembuku Village were given the opportunity to access examinations, consultations, educational sessions, and physiotherapy intervention services at no cost. The services focused on addressing musculoskeletal complaints, mobility disorders, and other conditions affecting bodily function.
The activity took place from 09.00 to 14.00 WITA and was attended by village officials, representatives of YPK, and the academic team from Undiknas. Throughout the program, community members received explanations on the importance of maintaining long-term physical health, including insights on injury prevention, self-care strategies, and basic exercises to support body mobility.
Beyond providing direct services, this initiative aimed to strengthen sustainable partnerships between Undiknas, YPK, and the Tembuku Village community. Through an educational and practical approach, Undiknas seeks to enhance public awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy body movement as a key component of overall quality of life.
This Community Service Program stands as a concrete example of the university’s contribution to advancing public health in rural areas. With the successful implementation of this activity, Undiknas hopes to continue delivering similar programs in various regions, ensuring that the benefits can reach an even wider community.
