
UNDIKNAS Establishes International Partnership with Asia Pacific University Malaysia through Official Visit and MoU Signing
Bali – Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (UNDIKNAS) continues to demonstrate its commitment to expanding international collaboration networks through an official visit to Asia Pacific University (APU) in Malaysia from May 14 to 16. This visit also marked a significant moment with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions.
The UNDIKNAS delegation was led by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Nyoman Sri Subawa, accompanied by the Head of the International Affairs Office, Ida Nyoman Basmantra. The visit began with a guided campus tour of APU led by a Student Ambassador from Indonesia, showcasing the university’s modern facilities and dynamic academic environment.
The delegation also had the opportunity to visit the Psychology Centre, where they were welcomed by Ms. Vinorra Shaker, Head of the Psychology Program at APU. During this session, UNDIKNAS was introduced to APU’s innovative learning spaces and cutting-edge research facilities.
Following a networking lunch aimed at strengthening ties, the agenda continued with a formal presentation about APU delivered by Prof. Dr. Andy Seddon, Senior Director of Partnerships and Standards. Representatives from the Indonesian student community at APU (AUISS) also shared their experiences and insights into student life at the university. In return, the UNDIKNAS team presented the university’s strategic vision, internationalization programs, and its strong commitment to advancing global education.
The highlight of the visit was the signing of the MoU between UNDIKNAS and APU, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership focused on curriculum development, collaborative academic programs, and joint research opportunities. The collaboration aims to create cross-border learning experiences and broaden student access to world-class education.
The event concluded with a group photo session symbolizing the start of a new chapter in the collaboration between UNDIKNAS and APU. Prof. Dr. Nyoman Sri Subawa expressed his optimism, stating:
“This partnership reflects our strong commitment to building high-quality global education. We hope this collaboration will bring significant benefits to students of both universities.”
Meanwhile, Ida Nyoman Basmantra added:
“Curriculum benchmarking and the development of collaborative programs will be an essential bridge for knowledge exchange and cross-cultural understanding, in line with our vision of globally oriented education.”
This strategic alliance is expected to pave the way for future forms of collaboration, such as student exchanges, joint research projects, and the development of international academic programs that enrich the learning experience and enhance the global competitiveness of students from both UNDIKNAS and APU.
