Denpasar – Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) once again hosted its annual event for new students, known as Student Week, as part of the Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) for the 2024/2025 academic year. (September 5, 2024)
Officially opened by the Rector of Undiknas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nyoman Sri Subawa S.T., S.Sos., M.M., IPM., ASEAN Eng, this year’s Student Week emphasized Undiknas’ role in preparing young generations who excel not only academically but are also ready to contribute to the acceleration of a more inclusive and sustainable global civilization. Students are expected to become pioneers in various fields of knowledge, strengthening global collaboration while maintaining environmental and social balance.
As part of this grand vision, Undiknas prepares new students to think critically, innovate, and become internationally-minded leaders. This marks the beginning of their journey towards a future filled with both competition and opportunities in an increasingly connected world.
The Student Week program runs for three days, from August 5 to August 7, 2024. During this time, all new students will not only be introduced to Undiknas’ campus environment and academic culture, but they will also participate in various other informative and inspiring activities. Some of the main events include:
- Campus Orientation: In this session, new students will tour the campus to familiarize themselves with the various facilities, including the library, laboratories, and student activity centers that will support their learning throughout their studies.
- Introduction to the Academic Community: Students will interact directly with lecturers, staff, and senior students who will help them navigate the academic world at Undiknas.

- Faculty Introduction: Every new student will receive in-depth information about their study programs, including curriculum details, teaching staff, and other essential information.
This event was made possible through the strong collaboration between students, faculty, and staff at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional. The organizing committee, consisting of senior students and lecturers, carefully planned the event, from scheduling to venue preparation, and coordination with external partners who supported the event.
Around 1,600 new students across 14 study programs participated in the New Student Campus Life Introduction (PKKMB) activities. Student Week has become a crucial annual agenda to help new students get to know and adapt to their new life on campus. The event was designed to be humane, creative, and fun, with sessions including creative booths from student organizations, interactive sessions from student bodies, and entertainment sessions from the organizing committee. To foster an entrepreneurial spirit in the new students, interactive and engaging activities were incorporated into the event.
Through Student Week 2024, Universitas Pendidikan Nasional hopes to establish a strong foundation for new students to grow as global citizens. The experiences they gain during this event are expected to serve as valuable assets for their academic journey while nurturing their commitment to global community and environmental development. With a solid foundation of knowledge, skills, and networks, students are expected to contribute positively to society, both locally and internationally. Undiknas continues to promote innovation and collaboration, ensuring that its graduates are equipped to compete and contribute on the global stage.
