After a relaxing weekend, we\u2019re suddenly faced with piles of work, meetings, and deadlines. It\u2019s no surprise that Monday is often seen as the most exhausting and stress-inducing day. From this, a new trend called <em data-start=\"336\" data-end=\"357\">Bare Minimum Monday<\/em> emerged.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"370\" data-end=\"404\">What is Bare Minimum Monday?<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"405\" data-end=\"701\">The term was popularized by Marisa Jo Mayes, a content creator from the United States. She introduced the concept of Bare Minimum Monday as a way to approach Mondays more lightly: focusing only on the most important and essential tasks, instead of forcing yourself to finish everything at once.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"703\" data-end=\"873\">In other words, Bare Minimum Monday doesn\u2019t mean being lazy\u2014it\u2019s about giving yourself space to start the week more slowly, with control, and in a mentally healthy way.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"875\" data-end=\"901\">Why Is It Important?<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"902\" data-end=\"1082\">Mondays often trigger pressure because we feel like we must be fully productive right from the start. However, starting the week with too much pressure only drains energy faster.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1084\" data-end=\"1128\">By practicing Bare Minimum Monday, we can:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1129\" data-end=\"1333\">\n<li data-start=\"1129\" data-end=\"1182\">\n<p data-start=\"1131\" data-end=\"1182\">Reduce excessive stress at the start of the week.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1183\" data-end=\"1235\">\n<p data-start=\"1185\" data-end=\"1235\">Give our brain time to adjust after the weekend.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1236\" data-end=\"1285\">\n<p data-start=\"1238\" data-end=\"1285\">Make work feel more realistic and manageable.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1286\" data-end=\"1333\">\n<p data-start=\"1288\" data-end=\"1333\">Maintain mental health throughout the week.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"1335\" data-end=\"1373\">How to Apply Bare Minimum Monday<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1374\" data-end=\"1518\"><strong data-start=\"1374\" data-end=\"1398\">Set Main Priorities.<\/strong><br data-start=\"1398\" data-end=\"1401\" \/>Make a list of 2\u20133 essential tasks that absolutely need to be completed. The rest can wait until later in the week.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1520\" data-end=\"1675\"><strong data-start=\"1520\" data-end=\"1545\">Start the Day Slowly.<\/strong><br data-start=\"1545\" data-end=\"1548\" \/>Begin Monday with calming routines, such as light exercise, journaling, or simply enjoying a quiet cup of coffee before work.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1677\" data-end=\"1810\"><strong data-start=\"1677\" data-end=\"1714\">Cut Down on Unnecessary Meetings.<\/strong><br data-start=\"1714\" data-end=\"1717\" \/>If possible, avoid scheduling too many meetings on Monday. Save your energy for core tasks.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1812\" data-end=\"1906\"><strong data-start=\"1812\" data-end=\"1836\">Give Yourself Space.<\/strong><br data-start=\"1836\" data-end=\"1839\" \/>Take short breaks throughout the day to keep your mind refreshed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1908\" data-end=\"2024\"><strong data-start=\"1908\" data-end=\"1939\">Remember: Enough is Enough.<\/strong><br data-start=\"1939\" data-end=\"1942\" \/>You don\u2019t need to get everything done on Monday. Focus on quality, not quantity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2026\" data-end=\"2244\">Bare Minimum Monday teaches us that starting the week doesn\u2019t have to come with a heavy burden.
