Gianyar \u2013 Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas), through its Student Music Activity Unit (SOUND), once again held a social initiative titled <\/span>“SOUND FOR TOURISM #3,” focusing on developing tourism potential in Temesi Village. This activity reflects students’ social concern for rural communities while supporting the promotion of <\/span>Temesi Waterfall, a new tourist attraction opened to the public less than five months ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

Temesi Waterfall boasts unique charm, including breathtaking natural beauty, a tranquil atmosphere, and spiritual significance. However, as a relatively new destination, the residents of Temesi Village require guidance to manage and promote the site\u2019s potential to a broader audience.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Student Music Activity Unit (SOUND) serves as a platform for musically inclined students while spearheading this social initiative. With the theme <\/span>“SOUND FOR TOURISM,” students not only shared knowledge on tourism promotion strategies but also provided training in social media use and digital marketing to enhance the promotion of Temesi Waterfall.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Special Jingle for Temesi Waterfall<\/h3>\n

As a token of appreciation and gratitude for the warm reception from Temesi Village residents, SOUND created a special jingle for Temesi Waterfall. This jingle serves not only as an expression of gratitude but also as a means to strengthen Temesi\u2019s tourism branding. It is hoped that the jingle will become a memorable feature and help boost the attraction\u2019s appeal to visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We aim to make a tangible contribution to the community through musical works that not only entertain but also positively impact tourism development,” said a SOUND representative.<\/span><\/p>\n

Harnessing Social Media for Tourism Promotion<\/h3>\n

In today\u2019s digital era, social media is one of the most effective tools for reaching a wider audience. SOUND students provided training to village residents on how to use platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to showcase the beauty of Temesi Waterfall to the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

They also emphasized the importance of building a strong tourism brand by highlighting local uniqueness and values, such as pristine natural beauty, a peaceful ambiance, and the cultural stories surrounding the area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Promoting Sustainable Tourism<\/h3>\n

In addition to focusing on tourism promotion, the program aimed to raise community awareness about the importance of preserving the surrounding environment. By prioritizing sustainable tourism concepts, SOUND hopes Temesi Waterfall can develop into a destination that maintains environmental conservation while providing long-term benefits for the local community.<\/span><\/p>\n
