Amid efforts to create a safe, fair, and inclusive campus environment, universities are increasingly realizing the need for the existence of special institutions that handle sensitive issues such as sexual violence, including the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas). The Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force, better known as the PPKS Task Force, is present as the front guard in overcoming this problem.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The PPKS Task Force is an entity within higher education that was established to be a center for preventing and handling sexual violence. Sexual violence includes a wide range of acts that harm a person’s physical, psychological, and sexual integrity. The PPKS Task Force is tasked with designing and implementing prevention programs, providing support to victims, and ensuring fair and just handling of cases. (19\/12\/2023)<\/span><\/p>\n

Role and Function of the PPKS Task Force:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Prevention: The PPKS Task Force is responsible for developing sexual violence prevention programs on campus. This can include outreach, training, and campaigns to raise awareness and establish a campus culture that does not tolerate sexual violence.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Case Handling: If a case of sexual violence occurs, the PPKS Task Force will be the institution that handles complaints, provides support to victims, and ensures that the case is handled with justice and sustainability. They can also coordinate with the police or other law enforcement agencies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Providing Support: The PPKS Task Force provides psychological support and counseling for victims of sexual violence. They can also assist victims in accessing necessary health and legal services.<\/span><\/p>\n

The PPKS Task Force is a concrete step taken by the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional to actively involve itself in fighting and preventing sexual violence.
