Putu Putri Prawitasari<\/a>, one of the outstanding lecturers from the Accounting study programme at the National Education University (Undiknas), successfully captured the attention of global academics at the prestigious 17th International Conference on E-Education, E-Business, E-Management and E-Learning (IC4E)<\/strong> <\/a> held at Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, from 1-4 April 2026. Presenting in-depth research on digital transformation, Putri shared crucial findings that could become the key to success for MSME players in Indonesia, especially in Bali, to compete on the global stage.\n<\/p>\n

TAM & TTF Integration: Why SMEs Need to Move to the Cloud<\/h2>\n\n

In her presentation titled “Why Do SMEs Adopt Cloud-Based Accounting in Emerging Economies?”, Putu Putri Prawitasari emphasised that the adoption of cloud-based accounting is no longer merely a trend but an urgent necessity for business sustainability. Through the integration of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Task-Technology Fit (TTF) frameworks, this research revealed that unlimited efficiency is the primary advantage, where cloud systems allow SMEs to perform bookkeeping and reporting in real time without the burden of expensive IT infrastructure costs.<\/p>\r\n\n

Furthermore, he explained that technology will only be fully adopted if its features align with the daily accounting needs of SMEs (task fit). Although the digital literacy of business owners has proven to be a key factor in accelerating the intention to use technology, this research also highlights that strategic challenges remain, which require further attention to ensure that this digital transformation has an optimal impact on the company’s financial performance.<\/p>\r\n\n

Carrying the Name of Bali to the International Stage<\/h2>\n\n

This research involving 250 MSME owners in Bali is not just theoretical. The results show that the use of cloud accounting significantly improves information accuracy and company performance. The presence of the Undiknas delegation at Kyushu University proves that the quality of local academic research can compete and provide real solutions to global economic challenges, while also supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\r\n\n

“The integration of TAM and TTF provides a more comprehensive explanation of cloud accounting adoption behaviour in emerging economies. It directly contributes to the productivity and innovation capacity of SMEs,” revealed the research team in the conclusion of their paper.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\n\n
